Be Imperfect and Love Every Minute of It
Following your dreams and becoming the person you strive to be does not require perfection. Quite the contrary, actually. Imperfection is really quite beautiful. After all, what is perfection and what exactly is all the fuss about? Imperfection means freedom. It entails being YOU and finding your own personal path to happiness, or contentment, or peace, or whatever it is that you are seeking. Instead of struggling to fit within the cookie cutter idea of perfection, be proud of your imperfections and your idiosyncrasies, and everything that makes you who you are.
So often, we focus on the ambiguous, unwritten rules that society tells us will bring success. But those obscure and often indulgent guidelines do not have to define your journey. Success does not have to be associated with money. Value need not always be monetary. Making a difference in the lives of others can surpass any bloated bank account when it comes to the true sense of value. Living each day with contentment and satisfaction, and knowing that you are following your dreams, can be as golden as it gets. It just depends on where you place importance and what you consider vital in life.
Find what you love and work on it. Even if you can‘t get to it as often as you would like, engage as often as possible. Regardless of what your job, hobby, or dream might be, make the most of each situation and opportunity. Be a positive example to those around you by following the path you have chosen with zeal and enthusiasm.
Don’t strive to be perfect. There is no such thing. Be yourself and do the best you can do. Be prepared to stumble. Be prepared to fall. Use setbacks as stepping stones and mistakes as lessons.
- Find what you love and love what you are doing, no matter how imperfectly you do it.
- Love those around you, no matter how imperfect they are.
- Love life, with all of its imperfections and struggles.
- Love yourself and pave your own pathway.
Be imperfect and love every minute of it. Life is too short not to.
