Sixteen

Today is Brynn's sixteenth birthday. Oh, how well I recall this day in 1994 when she came into this world and became a part of our family. She was born with the gorgeous red locks that she still rocks (albeit just auburn fuzziness at the time) and she had a bold sense of being right from the start.

As she grows up, I constantly marvel at the person she is. I adore her thirst for knowledge, her determination and drive, her sense of uniqueness, her confidence, her courage to stand up for what she believes in and who she is.

I feel honored to be her mom and lucky to be a part of the journey through this time of her life. I'm excited to see what paths she takes and what direction she ventures towards next.

At 16, she has accomplished so much, but I know it's truly just the start.

Happy birthday, Brynn. Thanks for being my daughter and my friend. I love you so much.
