How You Can Be The Change You Want To See In The World

"Be the change you want to see in the world."

These beautiful words spoken by Mahatma Gandhi are some that I love and need to remind myself of often. In a high-tech world, solutions are oftentimes instant and faster functionality can chase our patience away. Remembering to recognize the little things, stepping back to appreciate them, and believing that they matter, becomes vital.

To be the change that you want to see in the world, you don't have to be rich or powerful.  You don't have to be elected to an office. You don't have to be loud or raucous. You just need to care, be committed and BEGIN working towards your goal.

The world is so vast, yet sometimes it really is those little things that matter the most. You never know who is watching the moves you make or listening to the words you speak. Something that is seemingly insignificant can be of huge importance to someone that you encounter along your path. Kind words spoken, a smile given, a helping hand...they can all mean more than you know.

So decide how you can be a change for the positive. Grab ahold of your idea, make a plan, dedicate yourself and GO! Just like this inspiring little guy does in the video below.
