My boyfriend's family is from the South. When I went to visit for the first time they were sitting around discussing The Red Cross' blood drive going on. Apparently, none of them support the Red Cross due to my boyfriend's grandpa and an incident that occurred during WWII. The Red Cross was in the process of bandaging him up, and they offered him a pack of cigarettes to ease his pain.

A year later, when he was safely at home he opened the mail. Only to find Red Cross sent him a bill for the smokes.
