Twitter Kitty Cat has 525,000+ Followers: Meow! (Video)

If you tweet on Twitter, you probably know that having 525,000 followers is quite a significant entourage.  Well, one Twitter user that has built up such a following is none other than Sockington (or Socks for short), a microblogging cat, owned by Jason Scott, a 39-year old computer administrator living in Massachusetts.

Scott has been tweeting as Sockington since 2007 and over the years has acquired a "Sock Army," as he calls it.  These feline tweets have been compared to a famous orange comic strip character; Jason says that Socks is "like a 21st century Garfield."

If you follow Sockington, you can keep updated on his naps, trips to the litter box, kitty meals, and daily incidents. There are even T-shirts now available that contain "Sockington wisdom" for tweeters who can't seem to get enough of the east coast feline.

To be a part of the "Sock Army" and never miss a paw step, go here.

Here's a video from back when "His Greyness" had a measly 300,000 followers:

ok, that guy is a god amongst geeks - a printer that prints a cat on milk foam? that's pure genius.
