Giving Flowers on Mother's Day? Symbolism of Varieties & Colors

Over $15 billion is reportedly spent each Mother's Day to buy lovely gifts for those moms, with flowers alone make up 17% (around $2.5 billion). If you plan to give flowers on Sunday, check out some cool information about the symbolism of flower colors, as well as the flowers themselves.

  • Pink - grace, gentility, and happiness
  • Purple - dignity, pride and success
  • Red - desire, strength, and passionate love
  • Yellow - joy, lightheartedness, and friendship
  • Green - health, resilience, and good fortune
  • Orange - energy, enthusiasm, and warmth
  • Lavender - refinement, grace, and elegance
