It's Never Too Late To Chase Dreams: 90-Year Old Gets Diploma

Eleanor Benz, a 90-year-old woman from Chicago just received her high school diploma, over 70 years after she had to drop out of school during the Great Depression, when she took on a job to help to support her family.

During her senior year, in 1936, Eleanor left Lake View High in Chicago. She recently revealed to one of her daughters how much she regretted never completing high school. Her children contacted Lake View High and the school approved her diploma. At her 90th birthday party, the family was able to present her with her diploma and a 2009 cap and gown that featured at 1936 tassel.

Benz has 15 children, 54 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

See, it's never too late to fulfill your dreams!

reminds me of an old letter to Dear Abby or Ann Landers, one of those -- lady wrote in and said, i want to go back for my degree, but if i start school now, i'll be 65 in four years! and Ann or Abby answered, well, how old will you be in four years if you don't go to school?

good point.
