Anarchy At The Museum: Banksy Invasion
How much does Banksy rule??
This MUUUUUUUUU-
UUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
UUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH, I say.
This summer, in his provocative museum exhibit, Banksy has mixed more than 100 pieces of his own art into the Bristol Museum’s existing collection. It features the largest display of Banksy artwork ever, with most of the pieces having never been shown in the UK before.
Banksy does not believe in copyrights or "owning" intellectual property, so visitors are welcome to take photos of the work. Awesome as he is, Banksy said: "This is the first show I've ever done where taxpayers' money is being used to hang my pictures up rather than scrape them off ... I think we may have dragged them down to our level rather than being elevated to theirs."
For those of you fortunate enough to visit this exhibit in England (running now through August 31, 2009), PLEASE send reports, stories and photos!

he's still a genius.
Thanks for posting this Jinxi. I love Banksy's work. Usually he sneaks his artwork in! Haha, I guess they're actually letting him put on a display.
