Knee Socks Galore! Curbing My Fetish in the Name of Minimalism
One of my goals for the year was to dedicate myself to living a more minimalistic lifestyle. This includes learning to buying less, waste less, share more, and minimize some of what I have amassed.
This leads me back to a time not long ago when I had a slight knee sock addiction. It's suffice to say that I was a tad obsessed with them. To the point where I needed a tall, full-sized, 5-drawer chest to house ONLY knee socks. Proof of just some of the pairs in that collection can be found here. A little ridiculous, right? I mean, who NEEDS that many knee socks, eh?
So in keeping with this new plan, I attacked the dresser drawers the other night. I kept the essentials (I couldn't get rid of ALL of them now, could I?), and though I thought it would be a sad farewell, I actually felt really relieved when I got them all put into little piles and neatly folded the "keeping" pile and put them back into just ONE of those drawers.
The remainder is now up for grabs on eBay, and since I get several emails a week asking me where I got so-and-so pair of sox, I figured I would provide a link to the listings, so if you are in need of a few really cute pairs (many of which were only worn once - or never worn at all), now is a good time to take a peek. They are separated into color groupings and being sold as lots.
I would love to see them go to a good new home. Viva la knee socks!

LOL good for you...i had 3 drawers of a 5 drawer chest filled with seriously just white socks...mostly the old 80's style crush socks...i was over the top w/ them. i purged and got mine down to 1 drawer as well, gave them to anyone who wanted em, most were never even worn. i mean really who needs that many white socks lol!!!
Awww.... Knee sox are awesome!!!
Still, ....It is good to prune any collection every once in a while I suppose.
Hope you didn't get rid of all the stripey ones. They are too cute for words.
