El Mac: Graffiti-Influenced Photorealism and Brushwork Art

I'm always impressed by the poignancy and passion created in El Mac's work. Accomplished in an abundance of mediums; from pencil and acrylic, to spray paint and mixed media, he captures such a wide range of emotions in the subjects he portrays.

Born in Los Angeles and working from both LA and Phoenix, Miles “El Mac” MacGregor features entrancing portraiture with culturally rich themes. His murals are a sight to behold and can be seen all around the globe, as he has been commissioned to paint many in the US, as well as in Mexico, Denmark, Sweden, Canada, South Korea, Belgium, Italy, The Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Spain, France, Singapore, Germany, Ireland, and Vietnam.

His work is currently on exhibit at the Joshua Liner Gallery in NYC until November 6th, where those lucky enough to attend can see his mesmerizing brushwork and photorealism in person. Here is a small glimpse of his creative flair. To see more, be sure to visit elmac.net and join his mailing list.

Wow, I love it.

I sure wish I saw these driving down the freeway instead of pointless billboards.
