65daysofstatic At My Fingertips (Thanks to Shutterfly)
I know that Shutterfly has been around for a long time, but I had never been a patron of theirs until last week when I bought this:
my custom-designed mousepad featuring a photo I took at the music venue, Chain Reaction (Anaheim, CA) after watching 65daysofstatic perform one of the most incredible live music sets I have ever witnessed, back in June of 2008.
Yes, that's what the stage looked like after their set, and yes, the chaotic, emotional fervor that the photo reflects was a true reflection of the night and the show. It's always been one of my favorite photos... so when I started searching for a groovy new mousepad and then realized that Shutterfly allows you to put ANYTHING on theirs, this photo instantly came to mind.
I just put the purplish-blue filter over the image, popped it into their easy-to-use site, marked the approval button, and 5 days later, it was sitting on my desk. Yay!
To check out 65dos (one of the best bands in existence, imo), head on over to their site.
Their new album just came out and it's incredibly powerful and inspiring.
Now if I could just talk them into coming back to California (hint, hint).
