Vacationing IN an Airplane? Crazy Hotel Room Destination
Talk about cool recycling! If you travel by airplane to Costa Rica and stay at the Hotel Costa Verde, you might be getting right back on a plane; but this time, to rest and relax. This unique hotel just added a new wing; a refurbished 1965 Boeing 727 airframe that serves as a two bedroom suite.
Before becoming a hotel room, the airplane flew for South African Air and Avianca Airlines. It was salvaged from the San Jose, Costa Rica airport and each piece was individually transported through the jungle and reassembled on a 50-foot pedestal to create this one-of-a-kind vacation experience.
The suite runs $300-$350 per night. Check it out!
