The Simpsons Jazz Up The New .44 Cent USPS Stamps

Though stamp prices rise to .44 cents today, at least the USPS is giving us something to smile at by choosing the lovably-dysfunctional Simpsons family as the subject of a new stamp set series.

The set of five stamps are being issued to honor The Simpsons 20th television season, U.S. TV's longest-running comedy; and feature Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie.

James L. Brooks, the executive producer of the show, reacted to the stamp announcement by saying, "We are emotionally moved by the Postal Service selecting us rather than making the lazy choice of someone who has benefited society...it's only supposed to be dead people on stamps. Somehow we were able to overcome that."

Liven up your envelopes with these colorful characters. Woo hoo!

OMG! That is so great - I want them! I collect *select* sheets. I am not hardcore or anything, lol. I definitely have to get these. They will compliment my Muppet stamps nicely.
