Easy Sautéed Artichoke Hearts & Brussel Sprouts Recipe
I know that preparing most vegetables is pretty simple, so I understand that a recipe for sautéing some of them up isn't completely crucial, but we just had these tonight and they were so excellent together that my family convinced me to snap some photos and tell the tale.
All you need is:
- 15-20 Brussel Sprouts (I used the smaller size) for this dish
- 2-3 cups Artichoke Hearts (I used Trader Joe's frozen)
- Olive Oil
- 1 clove of garlic (or more/less depending on your preference)
- Pepper to taste
1) Steam the brussel sprouts and artichoke hearts (seperately). Slice brussel sprouts in half.
2) Add a generous amount of olive oil to your skillet
3) Drop in the steamed brussel sprouts, artichoke hearts, and garlic
4) Sauté slowly on low heat, stirring often
5) Add pepper to taste
I popped them on top of a yummy scoop of quinoa (to learn all about quinoa, see this post) and it was a great compliment to the veggies.
Enjoy!!
